13cm high bowl, 23cm Inc. handle, 20cm diameter

Designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Rosenthal, Germany. Beautiful & rare white china tureen with hinged stainless steel handle. Body is covered in small dimple indents (excluding base) which have been filled with a pale blue/grey glaze. Transfers of overlaid white clouds then applied, giving 3D impression. At the base there are 3 pulled feet, which don’t reflect inside with interior being completely smooth. Lid is smooth white with large round moulded handle & cut out for a ladle, sporting Tapio Wirkkala signature in white. Base has Rosenthal Studioline facsimile with black Wirkkala signature.

Condition: Overall 10. Perfect & unused
